The Anomaly is an instrumental progressive metal album with ambient songs interspersed. It is inspired by stories such as Frankenstein and Hatchet, and artists such as Between the Buried and Me, and If These Trees Could Talk. It follows the story of a man from the land of the dead, trying to survive in the land of the living after being brought back by a proverbial mad scientist, but is trapped after the gateway between realms is closed indefinitely. In short, it's a story with the zombie as the main character as he tries to survive in a world that sees him as a threat, ultimately flipping the script on the typical zombie tropes.
